Caterpillar to provide expanded services and digital solutions to support P&O Maritime Logistics’ Fleet with a new Global Value Agreement.

P&O Maritime Logistics (POML) and Caterpillar signed a Global Value Agreement (GVA) designed to increase vessel uptime, drive operational performance and efficiency, and digitally support their fleet with connected solutions. P&O Maritime Logistics provides a comprehensive set of services and marine solutions to offshore, and port services, and cargo transport segments. Caterpillar supports their operations with a consistent, digital enabled service approach, ensuring that POML receives a consistent service and support experience globally.

The agreement, effective October, includes fleet management service, maintenance planning, and connectivity coverage for 90 vessels of POML. In addition, each vessel will be digitally connected with Cat® Remote Fleet Vision which provides both parties with data trends, alerts, and enables failure prevention analysis. With a dedicated team, working with the global dealer network, Caterpillar will ensure the contract is supported consistently across the world.

“This agreement supports both Caterpillar and P&O Maritime Logistics’ vision for value-added marine services through innovative solutions and technology supported operations, commented Brad Johnson, vice president of Caterpillar Marine.

Under this agreement, global operations for POML are matched with Caterpillar’s world class dealer network which provides efficient, reliable, and tailored services to meet their diverse operational needs. “We will work closely with their team on improvement projects and potentially on the use of new fuels and technologies,” said Johnson.
